Shri Sushobhan Sarker took charge of LIC Mutual Fund Asset Management Company Ltd as its Chief Executive on 25/04/2008.
Shri Sarker for over three decades has been with Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC),
the country’s largest Life insurer and one of the largest Financial Institutions.
He has handled various responsibilities in senior positions in the Corporation.
He has over a decade’s experience in Investment and Housing Finance.
In his previous assignment as Head (Executive Director) of Investment Department at LIC Of India,
he had overseen LIC’s investment in diverse financial instruments including Equities, Government Securities,
and Corporate Bonds etc.
Shri Sarker graduated with Honours in Physics and also holds postgraduate degree in Financial Management
from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, University of Mumbai.
Shri Sarker has been on various committees of the Govt. of India, Reserve Bank of India and Insurance
Regulatory and Development Authority and is presently on the Boards of Infrastructure Leasing and Financial Services Ltd.
(IL&FS) and The Clearing Corporation of India Ltd.
